Affilinow Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2025-11-18
This Privacy Policy describes how Affilinow ("we", "us", or "our") processes information that relates to people who view or interact with content published through Affilinow on Facebook and other social platforms ("End Users"). The platform is used by page owners and advertisers to create and publish posts and to track aggregated performance (clicks, conversions, etc.). This document is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice.
1. Controller
Affilinow is operated by the site owner / administrator who installed and configured this instance of the application (the "Account Owner"). For any questions about this policy or data protection, please contact the Account Owner at the contact details provided in the application or on the associated website.
2. Information we process
Affilinow is designed as a content and campaign management tool. We aim to minimize the amount of personal data processed, especially in relation to End Users. As an End User, you do not create an account or provide personal information directly to Affilinow. The information we process relates to your interactions with content published on social media platforms:
- Campaign, analytics, and log information (which may relate to End Users). To operate the service and track performance, we may store:
- Non-identifiable metrics such as click-through counts, impression counts, conversions, and revenue estimates.
- Technical logs (including timestamps, error messages, API responses, and request metadata) for debugging and reliability.
- Limited identifiers that Facebook or other platforms include in events and webhooks (for example, comment IDs, author IDs, or message IDs) that are technically necessary for implementing features such as automated replies.
We do not intentionally store or use personally identifiable information (PII) of End Users who view or interact with social content, beyond the limited technical identifiers mentioned above. Where such identifiers are stored, they are used solely to deliver the requested functionality (such as sending automated replies to comments) and are not used to build individual profiles or for independent marketing purposes.
Note: Platform configuration, integration data, and admin account information are managed separately by the Account Owner and are not covered by this policy as it relates to End Users.
3. Legal basis and purpose
We process data for the following purposes:
- Service operation. To send automated replies to comments when configured by the Account Owner, and to track high-level performance of campaigns.
- Analytics and optimization. To measure performance of campaigns (e.g., clicks, conversions) in an aggregated, non-identifiable manner.
- Security and abuse prevention. To detect misuse, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the integrity of the service.
4. Facebook data and permissions
When you interact with content published via Affilinow on Facebook (for example, by commenting on a post), Facebook may send certain information to Affilinow through webhooks and API calls, in accordance with Facebook's Platform Terms. This may include:
- Information about your comments, such as comment text, comment ID, and author ID, which is required to detect keywords and send automated replies when configured by the Account Owner.
- Limited metadata about your interactions (e.g., timestamps) for logging and service operation.
We use this data only to provide the automated reply functionality configured by the Account Owner and do not sell or share Facebook data with third parties for marketing purposes. You do not need to connect your Facebook account to Affilinow - your interactions with posts on Facebook are processed automatically through Facebook's platform integration.
5. Cookies and local storage
As an End User, you do not access the Affilinow application directly, so cookies and local storage are not used in relation to your interactions with social media content. Cookies and local storage are only used by the Account Owner when they log into the Affilinow dashboard to manage their campaigns.
6. Data retention
Data is retained for as long as it is reasonably necessary to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Logs and analytics data may be stored for a limited period as configured by the Account Owner. You may request deletion of data related to you as described in the "Your rights and data deletion" section below.
7. Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We may share data with:
- Service providers who assist in hosting, database management, logging, or email delivery, subject to appropriate confidentiality obligations.
- Facebook / Meta and other platforms, as required to perform automated reply actions through their APIs (for example, sending private messages or comment replies).
- Legal and regulatory authorities when required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process, or to protect our rights and users.
8. Your rights and data deletion requests
Depending on the laws applicable in your jurisdiction, you may have rights in relation to personal data that can be linked to you. Because Affilinow primarily processes aggregated metrics and limited technical identifiers, the amount of directly identifiable information about End Users is intentionally minimal. Where such information exists, you may be able to:
- Request access to, or deletion of, log records or other data that can reasonably be linked to you.
- Object to or restrict certain processing where applicable law provides such rights.
To submit a data access or deletion request, please follow the steps described in our Data Deletion Instructions.
For Facebook users who have interacted with content published via Affilinow (for example by leaving a comment or receiving an automatic reply), any request to delete or manage data stored on Facebook's own systems should be submitted through the Facebook tools provided by Meta (such as "Download Your Information" and "Delete Your Data") or by contacting the Page owner directly. Affilinow does not control or host the content on Facebook's systems.
9. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse, such as access controls, encryption of secrets, and limited access to production systems. However, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and you use the service at your own risk.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the application after any changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
11. Contact
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how your data is handled, please contact the Account Owner using the contact details provided in the application interface or on the associated website.
