Affilinow Data Deletion Instructions

Last updated: 2025-11-18

These instructions explain how a user can request deletion of data related to them in connection with the Affilinow application. This document is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice.

1. Scope of data covered

Affilinow is primarily a campaign and automation tool for social media (for example, Facebook). The application is designed to operate with minimal personally identifiable information (PII), especially for people who view or interact with content published via Affilinow ("End Users").

The main categories of data relevant to these instructions are:

  • Facebook or other social platform integration details such as Page IDs and access tokens required to publish posts and send automated replies (these relate primarily to the Page / Account Owner).
  • Technical logs and analytics data related to posts, clicks, conversions, and auto-reply activity. These are generally stored in an aggregated or non-identifiable form, but may contain limited identifiers provided by Facebook (e.g., comment IDs, message IDs, or user IDs) where needed for automation features.

3. Deletion requests by Facebook users (end users)

Facebook users may interact with content published using Affilinow, for example by:

  • Liking or commenting on a post.
  • Sending a message to the Page.
  • Receiving an automatic private reply triggered by a keyword in their comment.

Most of the data from these interactions is stored and controlled by Facebook (Meta), not by Affilinow. To delete or access this information, Facebook users should primarily use Facebook's own tools (such as "Download Your Information" and "Delete Your Data" in their Facebook account settings) or contact Facebook directly.

If an end user wishes to request deletion of data about them that may be stored in Affilinow (for example, logs of comments or auto-replies), they may contact the Page owner / Account Owner and provide:

  • The Facebook Page on which the interaction occurred.
  • A link or screenshot of the relevant post or comment, if available.
  • The Facebook profile name and/or user ID associated with the request.

The Account Owner will then make reasonable efforts to locate and delete or anonymize records relating to that user within Affilinow (for example stored log entries), except where retention is required by law or necessary to protect the security and integrity of the service.

4. What is deleted vs. retained

When we process a valid deletion request, the following actions may be taken, depending on the context:

  • Removal or anonymization of direct identifiers (such as email address, account ID, and Facebook user identifiers) from our database.
  • Removal of access tokens and configuration entries that are no longer needed.
  • Retention of aggregated or de-identified analytics (for example, total click counts or conversion numbers) that do not allow identification of an individual person.
  • Retention of limited log records where necessary to comply with legal obligations, enforce agreements, or detect security incidents.
